Garden Life (Trailer du jeu)

The collaboration with video game publisher Nacon continues.

After the epic Gangs of Sherwood trailer, Nacon asked me to compose a much more intimate piece for the Garden Life trailer. On the menu: delicate piano, celesta, a reduced string ensemble and a few woodwinds (flute, oboe, English horn, clarinet and bassoon) for a light-hearted trailer.

The game is a simulation of gardening, set in a dreamlike, soothing universe with Japanese accents. The composition followed this path, and I was inspired by the work of Joe Hisaishi, in which this type of light orchestration is often found.

For those of you who are interested, the woodwinds, pianos and percussions are virtual instruments from the Hollywood Orchestra collection by East West Sounds, and the strings are from the Chamber Strings collection by Spitfire Audio.

Thanks to Nacon for their renewed confidence. You'll be seeing their name around here a lot! I'll now let you discover this trailer in pictures and music.
